Jeera futures up on spot demand, export enquiries

Jeera prices rose by 0.88% in futures trade today, supported by spot demand and export enquiries.

Market analysts said pick-up in spot demand and fresh export enquiries mainly influenced jeera prices at futures trade here.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, August contract for jeera rose by Rs 134, or 0.88%, to Rs 15,329 per quintal, with an open interest of 19,095 lots.

Similarly, July contract for spice gained Rs 123, or 0.83%, to Rs 14,923 per quintal in 10,245 lots. It had ended 1.09% higher at Rs 14,800 per quintal in the previous session.
