Jeera prices falls on subdued demand

Jeera prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today owing to weak local demand amid adequate stocks. 

Jeera common and jeera best quality prices fell by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 14,900-15,000 and Rs 16,900-17,000 per quintal, respectively. 

Market analysts said weak local demand amid adequate stocks mainly pulled down the jeera prices in the wholesale kirana market here.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal: 

Ajwain 17,500-23,000, black pepper common 28,200-28,500, betelnut (kg) 110-120, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,000-1,015, and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,120-1,270

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 850-900, cardamom (colour robin) 900-920, cardamom bold 910-920, cardamom extra (bold) 1,070-1,100 and cloves (kg) 500-550
