Jeera prices moved up by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today on increased buying by stockists as well as retailers supported by pick-up in domestic demand.
Also, fall in supplies from producing belts also put pressure on the prices. Jeera common and jeera best quality rose by Rs 200 to conclude at Rs 14,700-15,000 and Rs 16,900-17,000 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said sentiments turned better following fresh buying support from stockists as well retailers due to domestic demand amid fall in supplies from producing belts, which pushed up jeera prices in the wholesale kirana market here.
