Jeera prices fell 0.45% lower at Rs 11,675 per quintal in futures trading today largely due to supply pressure in the physical market and subdued demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, the April contract declined by Rs 52.50, or 0.45%, to Rs 11,675 per quintal, with an open interest of 10,140 lots.

The May contract moved down by Rs 27.50, or 0.23%, to Rs 12,015 per quintal, with an open interest of 13,377 lots.

Analysts said adequate stocks following higher arrivals in spot markets and weak demand mainly put pressure on jeera prices at futures market.
