Jeera up 0.4% on overseas demand

Prices moved up as speculators enlarged their positions

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Jeera futures for June rose by Rs 47.50, or 0.36% to Rs 13,370 per quintal in 7,455 lots.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the May contract gained Rs 45, or 0.34% to Rs 13182.50 per quintal in 11,376 lots.

Prices moved up as speculators enlarged their positions driven by rise in overseas demand.

However, new season supplies at spot market and expectations of higher output restricted the gains.
