Jet Airways rebounds, ends up 3%

The stock rebounded into the positive terrain to touch a high of Rs 265 and finally ended at Rs 262, up around 3% from the previous close. The counter clocked volumes of 491,334 shares as compared to the two-week daily average traded volumes of 83,704 shares on the BSE today.

According to reports, Jet Airways had to cancel at least 10 flights this morning as pilots did not report to work.

The stock opened at Rs 239, touched a high of Rs 250. The scrip, however, tumbled to a low of Rs 222 and is now trading at Rs 247, down over 3% from the previous close. The counter has clocked volumes of 63,852 shares on the BSE today.

 

Even though the National Aviator's Guild (NAG), the pilots union of Jet Airways withdrew the proposed strike yesterday from midnight which was to protest against the dismissal of two-senior pilots. Today at least 10 flights of Jet Airways and its subsidiary, JetLite were cancelled as large number of pilots did not report to work. They have resorted to strike by reporting sick.
