Prices of jowar white and barley rose up to Rs 300 per quintal in the wholesale grains market today on fresh buying by stockists on expectations of pick up in demand.
Traders said fresh buying by stockists on hopes of pick up in demand mainly led to a rise in wholesale jowar white and barely prices.
In the national capital, jowar white prices attracted brisk buying from stockists and spurted by Rs 300 to Rs 2,250-2,300 per quintal.
Barley too gained Rs 30 to Rs 1,030-1,050 per quintal.
