Just Dial hits 52-week low on weak Q3 earnings

The stock dipped 8% to Rs 721 after the company posted 16% YoY fall in profit at Rs 26.99 crore in December quarter.

Just Dial has dipped 8% to Rs 721, also its 52-week low on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), after the company reported 16% year on year (YoY) drop in its net profit at Rs 26.99 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2015 (Q3FY16) due to higher employee costs and other expenditure.

The company engaged in search and related services business had profit of Rs 32.14 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.

Total income during the quarter under review increased 14.58% to Rs 181 crore from Rs 158 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) margin stood at 21.83% in Q3FY16 against 32.45% in year ago quarter and 23.18% in previous quarter.

Employee cost of the company rose 21% YoY at Rs 95 crore, while other expenditure increased 50% to Rs 39 crore over the previous year quarter.

At 10:05 a.m. the stock was down 7.5% at Rs 726 on the NSE. A combined 1.09 million shares changed hands on the counter on the NSE and BSE.
