Kabli gram rises on retailers demand

Supported by pick-up in retailers' demand, kabli gram prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today. 

Elsewhere, prices moved in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.

Traders said pick-up in demand from retailers helped kabli gram small variety to move up.

In the national capital, kabli gram small rose by Rs 100 to Rs 4,700-6,200 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 4,000-4,400, Urad chilka (local) 4,900-5,300, best 5,400-5,900, Dhoya 5,350-5,450, Moong 4,000-5,000, Dal moong chilka local 5,000-5,400, Moong Dhoya local 5,300-5,500 and best quality 5,900-6,100
