Shares of Kalpataru Power Transmission were up over 3% at Rs 236 after the company announced that it has received new orders in the power and infrastructure contracting sector worth around Rs 765 crore.
The first order worth Rs 443 crore is for laying of transmission lines in Ajmer and pipeline laying projects worth Rs 35 crore from Gail (India), the company said in a release today.
Overseas orders include, supply of transmission towers to Poland worth Rs 153 crore and installation and commissioning of transmission line in Botswana worth Rs 115 crore.
The stock opened at Rs 239 and touched a high of Rs 240. As 10AM, over 140,000 shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
