Kalpataru Power Transmission has rallied 9% to Rs 220 on the BSE in early morning trade after the company announced that it has secured orders worth Rs 1,320 crore from Power Grid Corporation.
The order includes turnkey transmission line project of 765 KV Vemagiri-Chilakaluripeta of about Rs 778 crore from Powergrid Southern Interconnector Transmission System Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation.
Also an order is for a transmission line supply project for Gadarwara-Warora Transmission Line Project of about Rs 353 crore from Powergrid Warora Transmission Ltd, Kalpataru Power Transmission said in a statement.
The company has secured orders in excess of Rs 7,450 crore in 2015-16 with around 55% contribution from domestic transmission business, 10% from domestic infrastructure business and balance from international markets, it added.
At 09:42 AM, the stock was up 8% to Rs 221 on the BSE as compared to 0.39% decline in the S&P BSE Sensex. A combined 440,578 shares changed hands on the counter on the BSE and NSE.
