Kapas prices fell by Rs 10.10 to Rs 762 per 20 kg in future trade today following increased selling in tandem with weak spot market sentiment.
Marketmen said good seasonal rains supported by rising stocks position mainly pulled down kapas prices.
Weak physical demand also dampened the trading sentiments to some extent, they added.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, kapas for current February month contract decreased by Rs 10.10, or 1.31% to Rs 762 per 20 kg with an open interest of 188 lots.
March month contract too slipped by Rs 8.20 or 1.06% to Rs 764 per 20 kg, with an open interest of 46 lots.
