Kapas prices tumbled by Rs 21.90 to Rs 938 per 20 kg units in future trading today on the back of weak spot markets cues.
Market analysts said sluggish demand along with increased supply in domestic markets mainly influenced the trading sentiments here.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, kapas prices for delivery in April plummeted by Rs 21.90, or 2.28% to Rs 938 per 20 kg, with an open interest of 236 lots.
Its prices for February delivery contract also fell by Rs 11.30, or 1.31% to Rs 851.20 per 20 kg, showing an open interest of 43 lots.
