Karnataka Coffee Growers Ask For Tax Holiday

Coffee growers in Karnataka have asked the state government to grant a tax holiday to the commodity as coffee is currently suffering low returns and the growers are facing a paucity of funds. To add to the woes of the planters, berry borer, a pest that eats up coffee beans, has affected large coffee-growing parts of the country, a leading grower said.
