Shares of KEC International were up over 2% at Rs 125 on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the company said it has received new orders for its transmission and distribution, cable businesses worth Rs 836 crore.
The company in a release said it has received an order worth Rs 608 crore from Powergrid Southern Interconnector Transmission System Ltd and orders worth Rs 129 crore from Power Grid Jabalpur Transmission Ltd for construction of transmission lines. It has also received supply orders worth Rs 56 crore across the Americas.
The release also added that it has secured orders worth Rs 43 crore for supply of power cables and telecom cables.
The stock opened at Rs 126 and touched a high of Rs 128. At 12pm, over 750,000 shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
