KNR Construction hit the upper circuit of 5 per cent at Rs 105.65 after the company announced that it had won a Rs 231.28 crore order from the NHAI. The company has been given the task of widening lanes and strengthening the existing two-lane carriageway of NH-5 in Orissa.
The stock opened at Rs 102 and made a intra-day high of Rs 100.9. The volumes were marginally higher at 43,105 share compared to two week average volumes of 42,276 share at BSE. The stock is trading near its 52-week high of Rs 111 made on September 1, 2009.
