KNR Constructions hits record high

The stock was up 4% at Rs 476, extending its 4% gain in past three trading sessions on the BSE.

Shares of KNR Constructions were trading higher by 4% at Rs 476, extending its 4% gain in past three trading sessions on the BSE, after the company said it has won projects worth of Rs 937 crore from the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

The order includes four laning and two laning of Madurai-Ramanathapuram Section of NH-49 in the state of Tamil Nadu under NHDP Phase-III on EPC mode to be completed within 30 months from the appointed date, the company said in a release.
 
Meanwhile, Tata Trustee Company has increased its stake in construction & engineering firm by one percentage points via open market.

Tata Trustee Company Limited on behalf of schemes of Tata Mutual Fund bought 300,000 equity shares or 1.07% stake in the company through secondary market purchase on February 8, KNR Constructions said in a BSE filing on April 21, 2015.

Post acquisition, Tata Trustee Company holdings in KNR Constructions increased to 5.37% from 4.30% earlier.

Since then, the stock rallied 33% from Rs 359 on February 9, 2015 against 1.54% decline in the S&P BSE Sensex.

Today, the stock opened at Rs 455 and touched a record high of Rs 494 on the BSE. A combined 58,347 shares changed hands on the counter till 1131 hours on the BSE and NSE.
