Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has moved higher by over 2% at Rs 1,599, extending its previous day’s around 1% gain after the company said it has won new orders worth Rs 2,503 crore across various segments.
"The infrastructure IC (independent company) of L&T Construction has secured a prestigious order, valued Rs 1,985 crore from GVK Project and Technical Services," the company said in a statement.
L&T's Buildings and Factories IC has bagged new orders worth Rs 397 crore order pertains to construction of commercial building in Mumbai, , while the water and effluent treatment business has received an order worth Rs 121 crore from the Public Health Engineering Department, Rajasthan for water supply in Fatehpur-Laxmanpur Rajasthan, it added.
The stock hit high of Rs 1,571 and low of Rs 1,563 on the BSE. A combined around one million shares have changed hands on the counter till late noon deals on both the exchanges.
