Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has moved higher by 3% to Rs 1,555 after engineering giant said that its Malaysia based switchgear subsidiary, Tamco Switchgear, won $85 million (Rs 456 crore) order in Qatar.
The company received order from Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) - the sole distributor of water and electricity in Qatar.
“Tamco will manufacture and supply 11kV Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs) over a two-year period to distribution stations across Qatar,” L&T said in a press release.
The stock opened at Rs 1,507 and touched high of Rs 1,561 on NSE in noon deals. A combined 1.35 million shares have changed hands on the counter till 1439 hours on NSE and BSE.
