L&T rallied over 5% to Rs 1,495, after touching a high of Rs 1,503. The counter clocked a volume of 419,907 shares as against its two-week average traded quantity of 450,252 shares.

Larsen & Toubro has added 4% on Rs 4,000 crore deal with Jaypee Group.
The stock opened at Rs 1,445 and surged over 4% to touch a high of Rs 1,482. It is now up 3.5% at Rs 1,473. The counter has clocked a volume of 225,176 shares on the BSE so far.
Larsen & Toubro has signed an agreement with Jaiprakash Power Ventures for supply of eqiupment for the latter's Nilgrie Super Thermal Power Project in Madhya Pradesh. According to the deal, Larsen & Toubro will supply two units of 660 Mw each for the power plant.
