Lacklustre Day: DLF down 3%; Bharti up 2%

The Sensex is now down 78 points at 14,218.

Hindalco is trading at Rs 125, down around 10%, on the back of ex-rights adjustment.

DLF has shed 2.7% at Rs 465. Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Communications and HDFC Bank have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 2,535, Rs 391 and Rs 1,215, respectively.

BHEL and ICICI Bank have dropped 1.3% each to Rs 1,659 and Rs 641, respectively.

SBI and Reliance Infrastructure are down 1% each at Rs 1,319 and Rs 956, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has gained 1.8% at Rs 819, and ACC has added 1.5% to Rs 567.

Ranbaxy, Tata Power, Maruti and Sterlite are up around 1% each at Rs 518, Rs 1,022, Rs 633 and Rs 619, respectively.

 

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,452 stocks traded so far, 1,390 have declined, 956 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
