Lacklustre day: Sensex flat; breadth firm

The Sensex continues to remain flat at 20,229 - up two points.

Ranbaxy has gained 1.7% at Rs 419.

Reliance Energy and DLF have moved up 1.5% each to Rs 2,168 and Rs 1,025, respectively.

Tata Steel and Ambuja Cements have advanced 1.3% each to Rs 918 and Rs 147, respectively.

ITC and Mahindra & Mahindra are up 1% each at Rs 205 and Rs 837, respectively.

Wipro has plunged 2.6% to Rs 535, and Bharti Airtel has dropped almost 2% to Rs 948.

HDFC Bank and Bajaj Auto have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,723 and Rs 2,640, respectively.

Out of 2,879 stocks traded so far, 2,156 have advanced, 691 have declined and 32 are unchanged.
