Lacklustre trade continues

Markets continue trade in a lacklustre fashion. The Sensex is now up 11 points at 17,948. Nifty is up two points at 5,388.

BSE mid-cap and small-cap indices are up around 0.5% each at 7,386 and 9,428, respectively.

Among the sectoral indices, BSE FMCG and Metal indices have gained 0.7% each.

Tata Steel has jumped 2% to Rs 516. Hindustan Unilever and ACC have gained 1.5% each at Rs 261 and rs 817, respectively.

Market heavyweight, Reliance, has added 1% to Rs 1,077. Other Tata Group stocks - Tata Motors and Tata Power have advanced nearly 1% each.

Meanwhile, HDFC has slipped 1.3% to Rs 3,036. BHEL and HDFC Bank has dropped 1% each to Rs 2,436 and Rs 2,067, respectively.

DLF, Reliance Communications, Bharti Airtel and Maruti Suzuki are also trading in red.
