Lacklustre trades continue

Markets have started to recover. The Sensex is down 80 points at 16,184. The Nifty is down 28 points at 4,801.

Sterlite has dropped further and is now down 3.7% at Rs 718. Hindalco has shed 2.5% to Rs 121.

ONGC, DLF, ACC and Reliance Communications have slipped 1.5% each. Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, Grasim, Reliance Infrastructure, HDFC and Bharti Airtel are down 1% each.

Meanwhile, SBI has gained 1.7% at Rs 1,952. Jaiprakash Associates, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Steel and Wipro have added 1% each.

The market breadth has turned positive. Out of 2,567 shares traded 1,313 have advanced while 1,182 have declined.
