Shares of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) were trading higher by nearly 2% at Rs 1,662 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) after the company said it has won orders worth of Rs 1,711 crore across various business segments in March 2015.
The business and factories business has secured orders worth Rs 880 crore, while power transmission and distribution business won orders amounting of Rs 676 crore, L&T said in a press release.
The power transmission and distribution business has received EPC order from the Bihar State Power Transmission Company and from Power Grid Corporation of India.
Additional order worth Rs 155 crore has been won by the company’s water and renewable energy business, it added.
The stock opened at Rs 1,650 and hit a high of Rs 1,665 on the NSE. A combined 648,190 shares changed hands on the counter till 1047 hours on the NSE and BSE.
