Lead futures prices today edged lower by 0.12% to Rs 126.35 per kg after speculators booked profits even as the metal strengthened at the London Metal Exchange.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the December contract traded 15 paise, or 0.12% lower, at Rs 126.35 per kg, with a turnover of 1,021 lots.
The January contract also fell by a similar margin to Rs 126.65 per kg in a business volume of 302 lots.
Marketmen said profit-booking by speculators mainly led to a fall in lead futures prices but a firming trend in the entire base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange mainly checked losses.
