Lead down 0.2% on subdued spot demand

Metal for delivery in November declined by 0.02%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead futures traded a shade lower at Rs 134.70 per kg after speculators trimmed positions amid a weak trend in select base metals overseas and subdued spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in October shed 35, or 0.24%, to Rs 134.70 per kg in business turnover of 275 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in November declined by 5 paise, or 0.02%, to Rs 136.10 per kg in a turnover of 46 lots.

Market analysts said besides subdued domestic demand, a weak trend in select base metals at the London Metal Exchange, mainly weighed on the lead futures prices here.
