Lead down 0.4% on subdued spot demand

The metal strengthened at the London Metal Exchange

Lead futures for March fell 55 paise, or 0.44%, to Rs 124.75 per kg in 1,037 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the April contract shed 60 paise, or 0.48%, to Rs 124.60 per kg in 65 lots.

Prices went down as speculators reduced their exposures amid weak spot market trends on sluggish demand.

But, Lead strengthened at the London Metal Exchange (LME).
