Lead down more than 1% on global cues

Subdued domestic demand affected the trade

Lead futures for May shed Rs 1.60, or 1.43%, to Rs 110.40 per kg in 457 lots.

At the Multi Commodity exchange (MCX), the April contract declined by Rs 1.50, or 1.35%, to Rs 109.555 per kg in 9,219 lots.

Prices edged lower as speculators reduced their exposures amid subdued domestic demand.

Weak trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange (LME) after data from China that missed economists' forecasts raised concern that demand from the biggest user is falling affected the trade.
