Lead edges down by 0.77% on weak global cues

Prices edged lower after speculators reduced their exposures

Lead futures for April shed 85 paise, or 0.77%, to Rs 110.20 per kg in 5,907 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract fell by 80 paise, or 0.74% to Rs 107.30 per kg in 432 lots.

Weak trend in base metals at the the London Metal Exchange (LME) on demand concerns after data that showed manufacturing growth was slowing in China, world's biggest user of metals, put pressure on lead futures here.
 
At LME, lead lost 0.6% to $1,998 a tonne.
