Tracking a weak global trend, lead futures prices today fell by 1.33 per cent to Rs 100.05 per kg.

Fall in demand at domestic spot markets from battery makers, also put pressure on the lead futures prices here.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, lead for November delivery fell by Rs 1.35, or 1.33 per cent, to Rs 100.05 per kg, with a business turnover of nine lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in December, shed Rs 1.30, or 1.27 per cent to Rs 101.20 per kg, with a trade volume of four lots.

Analysts said apart from a weak trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME), subdued demand at spot markets here, mainly put pressure on the metal's futures prices.

Lead lost 0.89 per cent to $2,230 a tonne at the LME today.
