Lead prices traded lower by 0.65% to Rs 115 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their positions, driven by a weak trend at the spot market on sluggish demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for October delivery shed 75 paise, or 0.65%, to Rs 115 per kg, with a business turnover of four lots.

Likewise, the metal for August delivery traded lower by 45 paise, or 0.39%, to Rs 113.55 per kg, with an open interest of 1,826 lots.

Analysts said besides reducing of positions by speculators, subdued demand in the spot markets led to the decline in lead futures price.
