Lead prices edged lower by 0.08% to Rs 128.30 per kg in futures trade today after speculators reduced exposures amid a weak trend in base metals overseas and subdued spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in November shed 10 paise, or 0.08%, to Rs 128.30 per kg in business turnover of 210 lots.
The metal for delivery in December fell by a similar margin to Rs 129.75 per kg in a turnover of 8 lots.
Market analysts said besides subdued domestic demand, a weak trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange on demand concerns, mainly put pressure on the lead prices at futures trade.
