Lead prices fell by Rs 1.55 to Rs 103.10 per kg in futures trade today as traders reduced their positions in line with a weakening trend at the London Metal Exchange.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in June fell by Rs 1.55, or 1.48% to Rs 103.10 per kg, with a business turnover of four lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in May lost Rs 1.30, or 1.25% to Rs 103.05 per kg, with an open interest of four lots.

Market analysts said speculators reduced their positions, influenced by a weakening trend at the London Metal Exchange, which led to the fall in lead futures prices.

Meanwhile, lead fell 0.5% to $2,285 a metric tonne, the lowest level since December at LME.
