Lead prices fell by 0.48% to Rs 104.40 per kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced their positions on the back of a weak global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in June declined by 50 paise, or 0.48% to Rs 104.40 per kg, with a business turnover of 83 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in May shed 40 paise, or 0.38% to Rs 104.15 per kg, with a business volume of 1,215 lots.

Market analysts said weak trend in copper and other base metals overseas along with profit-taking led to the fall in lead futures prices here.
