Press Trust of India New Delhi

In range-bound movements, lead futures traded a shade lower by 0.14 per cent to Rs 107.25 per kg today as speculators locked in gains yesterday.

Sluggish demand at domestic markets from battery makers, also put pressure on the lead futures prices here.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, lead for January delivery fell by 15 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 107.25 per kg, with a business turnover of 26 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in December, shed 10 paise, or 0.09 per cent to Rs 106.30 per kg, with a trade volume of 980 lots.

Analysts said apart from profit-booking by speculators, subdued demand at domestic spot markets here, mainly put pressure on the metal's futures prices.
