Lead futures marginally down on sluggish demand

Amid weak spot demand and lower trend in global markets, lead futures traded marginally lower by 0.36 per cent at Rs 110.45 per kg today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, lead for December traded lower by 40 paise, or 0.36 per cent to Rs 110.45 per kg, with a business turnover of 29 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in January weakened by 30 paise, or 0.27 per cent to Rs 111.45 per kg, with a business turnover of two lots.

Analysts said besides weak trend at spot markets due to sluggish demand, weak trend at the London Metal Exchange also weighed on the lead futures prices.
