Lead prices moved up by 0.36% to Rs 124.65 per kg in futures trading today on pick-up in demand in the spot markets particularly from battery makers.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in April traded higher by 45 paise, or 0.36%, to Rs 124.65 per kg, with open interest of a single lot.

The May contract was up 40 paise, or 0.32%, to Rs 124.45, with a turnover of seven lots.

Market analysts said increased demand from battery makers helped lead prices to move up.
