Amid a firming trend overseas and a pick-up in domestic demand, lead traded higher by 0.35% to Rs 99.65 per kg in futures market today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, November lead moved up by 35 paise, or 0.35%, to Rs 99.65 per kg, with a business turnover of 392 lots.

The December contract edged up by 30 paise, or 0.30%, to Rs 100.60 per kg, with a trade volume of 23 lots.

Analysts said apart from rising demand from battery markers in the domestic spot markets, gains in the base metals pack overseas, also supported the rise in prices at futures trade here.

Meanwhile, at the LME, lead added 0.7% to $2,023 per tonne.
