Taking cues from weak global market and subdued domestic demand, lead prices weakened by 0.41% to Rs 122.20 per kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for July delivery weakened by 50 paise, or 0.41%, to Rs 122.20 per kg, with a business turnover of 2,427 lots.

Similarly, the metal for August delivery traded lower by the same margin to Rs 122.85 per kg, with an open interest of 284 lots.

Analysts said weak trend in metals at the London Metal Exchange and subdued demand at spot markets led to the decline in lead futures prices here. Meanwhile, lead fell 0.4% to $2,760 a tonne at the LME.
