Lead futures rose by 0.76% to Rs 105.65 per kg in range-bound trade early today, taking cues from a firming trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for December delivery gained 80 paise, or 0.76%, to Rs 105.650 per kg, with an open interest for 600 lots.
The January contract rose by 75 paise, or 0.71%, to Rs 106.75 per kg, with a trading volume of 66 lots.
Market analysts said a pick-up in demand from battery-makers and gains registered by the metal on the London Metal Exchange (LME) in the wake of better-than-expected US jobs data mainly influenced lead prices in futures trade here.
