Lead futures prices today trade a shade higher at Rs 125.10 per kg largely in line with a firming trend in base metals in the global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in August traded 10 paise, or 0.08%, higher at Rs 125.10 per kg, with a turnover of 107 lots, while delivery in July month contracts remained steady at Rs 124.25 per kg in a turnover of 2,248 lots.
Marketmen said a firming trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange after US Federal Reserve chief Ben Bernanke said its huge stimulus programme would stay in place for some time, influenced lead prices at futures trade here.
