Lead traded higher by 0.46% to Rs 121 per kg in futures trade today due to rise in demand from battery-makers in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in September traded higher by 55 paise, or 0.46%, to Rs 121 per kg, with a business turnover of 8,864 lots.
October lead edged up by 40 paise, or 0.33%, to Rs 121.05 per kg, with an open interest of 6,189 lots.
Marketmen attributed the rise in lead futures to pick up in demand from battery-makers in the spot market.
