Supported by firming trend overseas, lead futures today edged up by Rs 0.60, or 0.59 per cent, to Rs 101.95 per kg.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange platform, the October contract of lead traded Rs 0.60, or 0.59 per cent higher at Rs 101.95 per kg, with a turnover of 1,178 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in October contract gained Rs 0.50, or 0.49 per cent, to trade higher at Rs 102.90 per kg, clocked a turnover of 36 lots.
Analysts said firming trend in copper and other base metals at the London Metal Exchange after positive US jobs data, released last weekend, mainly influenced the lead futures here.
