Metal for delivery in November gained 0.86%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Supported by demand in the domestic spot market and a firming global trend, lead futures prices today rose 0.95% to Rs 133.45 per kg.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in October traded Rs 1.25, or 0.95%, higher at Rs 133.45 per kg, with a turnover of 674 lots.

The metal for delivery in November gained Rs 1.15, or 0.86%, to Rs 134.70 per kg in a business volume of 43 lots.

Marketmen said apart from domestic demand, particularly from battery-makers, strength in select base metals in the global market mainly influenced lead prices at futures trade.
