Tracking a weak trend in other base metals, lead prices shed 0.33% in futures trade today.
Winding up of positions by speculators in view of today's monthly expiry also weighed down on the lead futures prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in April traded lower by 40 paise, or 0.33%, to Rs 120.30 per kg, with a business turnover of 177 lots.
The March contract lost 35 paise, or 0.29%, to Rs 120.40 per kg, with a business volume of 534 lots.
Market analysts said apart from a weakening trend in other base metals, weak spot demand and squaring-up of positions by speculators also led to the fall in lead futures prices.
