Low density polymer prices edged higher by 50 paise per kg in the local plastic market today due to increased offtake from plastic bag makers.
Other polymers such as high density (HD) and poly propylene (PP), however, held steady in the absence of worthwhile activity.
Traders said increased offtake by plastic bag makers mainly helped low density (LD) polymer to trade marginally higher.
LD No 40 and LD No 400 were up by 50 paise each to Rs 100 and Rs 100.50 per kg, respectively.
