Analysts expect a weaker trend early next week on the back of profit-booking. However, they see a frim rend picking up through the middle of the week.
In Andhra Pradesh, the crop left for drying got washed away in the rains, resulting in inferior quality of turmeric. In Tamil Nadu, the acreage is on the downside as in the previous season and the crop is not likely to fetch good prices.
Analysts put the support level for the next week's trade at Rs 3,452 a quintal, whereas the resistance is seen at Rs 3,750 a quintal.
However, analysts said the resitance level is likely to break. On NCDEX, the turmeric June futures closed on Saturday at Rs 3,603 a quintal against the previous week's close of Rs 3,490 a quintal, up 3.24 per cent.
