Maha govt okays Lloyds Metals' Rs 20,000-cr project; stock up 26% in 4 days

The company clarified that these approvals are preliminary and require a series of regulatory and internal approvals

Shares of Lloyds Metals and Energy hit a record high of Rs 241, surging 7 per cent on the BSE in Monday's intra-day trade, as trading volume jumped nearly two-fold on Monday. In the past four trading days, the stock of the iron & steel company has soared 26 per cent after the Maharashtra Government cleared a project worth of Rs 20,000 crore.

The stock surpassed its previous high of Rs 232, touched on April 21, 2022. At 02:15 PM, it was trading 7 per cent higher at Rs 239.45. In comparison, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 0.50
