Maize and jowar prices rose by Rs 25 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today on pick up in demand, amid slow down in arrivals from producing belts.
Traders said restricted arrivals against increased demand from consuming units mainly pushed up maize and jowar prices.
In the national capital, maize rose by Rs 25 to Rs 1,265-1,275, while jowar yellow and white traded higher by the same margin to Rs 925-1,025 and Rs 1,175-1,825 per quintal, respectively.
